Houston Restaurant Weeks was delectable! Came to Grotto with group of friends for Labor day weekend. Mussels as a starter paired with Foccacia bread is a go to. My server definitely helped with my wine preference. Coming back with family.

Everything about our experience was top notch. Service was terrific. Our server was an older gentleman that was clearly in love with customers and his job. He joked with us the whole evening and tended to us in an exemplary fashion. All the food was fresh and fantastic. We were taking my niece out to celebrate her graduation, and I’ll be honest, I wasn’t thrilled that this was her choice. I figured it’d be overpriced pasta. I’m happy to say I was very wrong, and everything was outstanding. We’ll be back.
I am very big on reviews and Willie are waiter was absolutely amazing and very attentive to are needs. Making sure we had everything we needed and explained any questions we had about the menu. This is our second time at this location will definitely be back in the future. Ask for Willie for your waiter very friendly and efficient even tho you can't see anyone's due to mask you can tell he was smiling under his mask. That's great customer service. All staff was wearing a mask double plus in my book.
We planned a dinner based on recommendations from anfamily member and were not disappointed!! It was our anniversary and we wanted something simple and special. The food was amazing! The fluffy bread and the pizza bread was perfectly complemented by an olive oil garlic blend of delight. I ordered the salmon and my wife ordered the shrimp.. omg, SO flavorful. Our server Cliff really took care of us andbonce he found out it was our anniversary he went above and beyond with a piece of cheesecake that was about the best ever. Way to go Grotto.. I will certainly tell everyone about you, and highly recommend they ask to sit where Cliff can take care of them..
It has a really great and beautiful atmosphere. Foods are ready delicious and the prices are reasonable. We ordered a plate of meat ball and parmesan cheese with eggplant. They were awesome. The service was great as well. I give it five stars out of five. Definitely will visit this place again.
